World Heritage Tour - 9 Days

This 9 days trips takes you to renowned world heritage sites of Ngorongoro Crater and Zanzibar Island of the Indian Ocean - a couldron of cultures and peoples. The safari is also a wildlife adventure that covers the famous park of the Serengeti with its myriad flora and fauna.

This tour is also possible in the reverse order from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam.

Itinerary

Day 1, 2 & 3 Zanzibar
The Group start the tour in Dar es Salaam, the famous portal city of Tanzania. You have the option of going on the highly recommended Zanzibar excursion. A ferry will take you to Zanzibar where you spend the next few days exploring this fascinating island with its renowned architecture, beautiful beaches, colourful people and history. The excursion is at your own expense and the cost can vary depending on your preferred level of accommodation and activities. Many groups disperse on Zanzibar as everyone is free to explore as they wish to. One of the guides will accompany you to Zanzibar to provide information and assistance on the Island. (B)

Day 4: Zanzibar / Dar es Salaam
Today we reluctantly leave Zanzibar and catch a late ferry crossings that on a few hours schedule apart(or flight) back to Dar es Salaam and return to our campsite. The evening can be spent reminiscing back at the campsite. (D)

Day 5: Dar es Salaam - Arusha
Getout your serengeti sun glasses for the long and scenic drive takes us to Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania. If there are clear skies en-route we might see Mt Kilimanjaro. After arriving in Arusha with mostly fine weather we camp at one of the campsites in this Tourist Capital.

Day 6 and 7: Ngorongoro/Serengeti
There are many possible itineraries available, ranging from the one to three days trip to the Ngorongoro crater, to a three-day trip into the Serengeti park. Also available are day trips to Arusha National Park, overnight trips to Ol Doinyo Lengai - an active crater and cultural tours that include walking trips among the Maasai, camel trips and ecotourism safaris around Arusha town. These three days are at your own expense and we give you every opportunity to match the activity to your budget. One of the guides will remain with those that decide to stay in a Arusha hotel. Day 8: Arusha
Getting together again after our various game viewing at short distance in the game parks, our last night we spend some time in this beautiful country swapping 'big game' stories around the campfire. The groups normally return from the Serengeti Park excursion late in the afternoon. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Kenya - Nairobi
After crossing the border into Kenya with Kilimanjaro mountain receding into the distance, the tourist continue on towards Nairobi and the end of our journey. The last evening on tour is normally spent out at a local restaurant where the tour guide and group celebrates the completion of our adventure! (B,L)
